Dr Shiromali (Shiro) Ekanayake
Dr Shiromali (Shiro) Ekanayake has worked as a general practitioner in Shepparton since 2005.
Shiro gained her Bachelor of Medicine in Sri Lanka in 1996 and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011.
Previously, Shiro worked at the National Health Services in Sri Lanka from 1996 – 2005. She then came to Australia in 2005 and worked at Goulburn Valley Health till 2009. Since then, she has worked in general practice.
Shiro’s special interests are women’s health, mental health and mental well-being, preventive medicine for all walks of life and chronic disease management. She offers support to live a healthier, more active life and advice on how to take care of yourself. She is also interested in supporting teenagers with any difficulties they may encounter.
