Dr Saghi Elmi

General Paediatrician
Dr Elmi is an experienced General Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Fellow with over 20 years of clinical practice. She is a Staff Specialist in General Paediatrics at Goulburn Valley Health, Victoria, and is now consulting privately at Shepparton Women’s Health Centre.
Dr Elmi’s clinical interests include:
· General paediatrics
· Growth and developmental assessment and follow-up
· Management of common allergic conditions, including asthma and cow’s milk protein intolerance
· General gastrointestinal conditions, including constipation, coeliac disease, poor growth, and anaemia
· Neonatal care and follow-up, including post-NICU care
· ADHD assessment and management
· Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) management
· Diabetes and obesity management
She holds FRACP General Paediatrics, a Paediatric Intensive Care Fellowship, multiple board certifications, and a Diploma in Diabetes Management and Obesity. Dr Elmi is an active member of ANZSPED, AMA-VIC, and ASDP, and contributes to teaching, mentoring, and protocol development. Fluent in English and Farsi, she provides compassionate, high-quality care to children and their families, supporting healthy growth, development, and overall well-being.
Outside of medicine, Dr Elmi enjoys piano playing and painting, which reflect her creative and thoughtful approach to life.
